Grewingk Glacier from Homer, Alaska. 26-4-2001.

Grewingk Glacier is a 21-km long mountain glacier that runs down from the Chugach Mountains and ends in Kachemak Bay. As many other glaciers in Alaska, Grewingk is also retreating. Wikipedia reports that it covers an area of 78 km^2 but I don't know when that was recorded. This was shot from the hills behind the town of Homer.
