Early morning shot from my terrace... The light got better a few minutes later but the moon was lower and partially concealed by a contrail.
The trees at the bottom belong to Belgrad Forest, which is part of a continuous stream of woodland ranging from Germany all the way to Georgia. Urban sprawl has been stealing land from the forest every year. Current plans for building a third bridge across the Bosphorus will possibly nail the coffin for this supposedly protected area. Wildlife has been reduced to virtual non-existence many moons ago, just as in the rest of Europe.
