Washington Monument and the Reflecting Pool from Lincoln Memorial, Washington, DC. 28-11-2007, 17:11.
Photographing cliches is always troublesome. Here I tried to introduce a variety by having someone at the bottom end of the reflection. The second person walked up and knelt down just when I was ready to click the shutter. They left quickly after this shot.
Wikipedia says: "The Washington Monument is among the world's tallest masonry structures and is the world's tallest obelisk, standing 555 feet 5.125 inches (169.29 m) in height, and made of marble, granite, and sandstone." This is the classical view from Lincoln Memorial.
