Spøttrup, Jylland (Jutland), Region Midtjylland, Denmark. June 2013.
Spøttrup Borg is a small castle in Central Jutland (Midtjylland). It was built in the 1520s by the Bishop of Viborg, Jørgen Friis (1494-1547). With its 9-meter tall ramparts and double moat, the castle survived the religious and social upheaval, as well as the civil wars of the 16th century, unconquered.
